So while you were all watching Brian Harman win the 2023 British Open Major Golf Championship in Liverpool, the caddies were having a side party so to speak, blasting and celebrating after a long final day of intense golfing. As the sun set on the horizon, the parking lot turned into a lively party scene, with caddies from different teams mingling, laughing, and, of course, enjoying a few drinks.

In one corner of the parking lot, there were two groups of caddies who had a friendly rivalry going on throughout the tournament. They had been teasing each other playfully, each boasting about their golfers and their exceptional caddying skills. Let’s call them Team A and Team B.

As the night wore on and more drinks were consumed, the good-natured banter turned into a heated debate about which caddies had the better luck on the course. Team A’s caddies claimed that they were the secret to their golfer’s success, while Team B’s caddies retorted that they were the real MVPs.

As the arguments intensified, someone suggested settling the debate with a friendly dance-off. The caddies laughed and started busting their moves in the middle of the parking lot. It was quite a sight to see tipsy caddies showing off their dance skills, some of which were surprisingly impressive, while others were hilariously terrible.

The golfers and other spectators gathered around, cheering and laughing at the spectacle unfolding before them. It was a hilarious scene, and the mood remained light and fun.

But then, a misunderstanding occurred when one caddy from Team A accidentally stepped on the foot of a caddy from Team B. It wasn’t intentional, but in their inebriated state, things quickly escalated.

“What do you think you’re doing?” slurred the caddy from Team B, playfully but with a hint of faux aggression.

“Oh, come on, it was an accident,” replied the caddy from Team A, trying to defuse the situation.

However, the combination of alcohol and their competitive nature fueled the fire, and suddenly, a mock fight broke out between the two caddies. They started wrestling playfully, rolling around in the grass while everyone else watched, unsure whether to intervene or cheer them on.

In a matter of minutes, the rest of the caddies joined in, and soon, it turned into an epic caddie melee, but all in good fun. They were tumbling over each other, trying out exaggerated karate moves, and generally making a hilarious spectacle of themselves.

The golfers, who had been observing the whole scene with amused expressions, finally stepped in and managed to separate the tipsy caddies. Everyone was laughing, out of breath, and covered in grass stains, but the tension had evaporated entirely.

In the end, both teams realized how silly the fight had been and that they were all part of the same golfing community. They hugged it out and even exchanged caddie uniforms as a sign of newfound camaraderie.

From that day on, the caddies of Team A and Team B became the best of friends, sharing a bond that transcended competition. And whenever they reminisced about that night, they would burst into laughter, knowing that a few too many drinks had turned a friendly rivalry into one unforgettable, hilarious parking lot fight at the 2023 British Open Major Golf Championship in Liverpool.

This in fact was just a story told in the Royal Liverpool Clubhouse by a member:)
